Iraqi officials said militants stormed the Al-Jawhara Mall in the eastern part of the city.
Gunmen stormed a mall in eastern Baghdad on Monday, killing at least 10 people, Iraqi officials told the Associated Press.
At least four gunmen entered the mall after setting off a car bomb outside, Reuters reported. More than 20 people were reported injured, including at least three police officers.
Officials estimated that 50 to 75 people were trapped inside the mall, AP reported.
The attack occurred at the Al Jawaher mall in the predominantly Shiite neighborhood of Baghdad Jadida. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
