Ben Carson, who dropped out of the race for a republican presidential nomination last week, formally endorsed Donald Trump.
During a press conference on Friday morning at the Mar-A-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida, Carson, a retired neurosurgeon, said that Trump is "actually a very intelligent man."
Carson also noted a discrepancy between the person he has gotten to know over the past two years, and the candidate presented to the public eye.

Trump, who currently leads candidates in the bid for Republican nominee, called Carson a "special, special man."
Both men dismissed their history of exchanged negative rhetoric.
Carson said, "We've buried the hatchet."
