People who are used to seeing the face of Russian President Vladimir Putin winking roguishly on Twitter were shocked to learn that the popular parody account @DarthPutinKGB had been suspended.
No official explanation was given when BuzzFeed News reached out to Twitter to see what the @DarthPutinKGB account had done to merit the ban or if it was permanent.
A question regarding whether the Russian government had been in touch with the social media giant over the parody accounts had done to merit their suspension.
