They kidnapped her outside of her college, drugged her, and assaulted her for a second time.
On July 13, a Dalit college student in Rohtak, Haryana, was gangraped by the same five men who had previously assaulted her in 2013.
The 20-year-old woman was reportedly kidnapped by the men as soon as she stepped out of college. She was then drugged, and shoved into a car. Her body was found by passersby after she was dumped on the side of the road, with her clothes torn and in shambles. She was then taken her to the Rohtak Civil Hospital.
"I came out of college and there were those very five men in the car. Three were inside and two of them were outside," the woman told NDTV.
In the NDTV report, the family of the rape survivor stated that she was assaulted by the same men back in 2013, in Bhiwani, Haryana. A court case was filed against them, but only two of the five men were arrested, and both were recently released on bail.
The report also purports that since then, the men have been trying to force the family to drop all charges against them. The family eventually decided to move from Bhiwani to Rohtak after receiving constant treats from the accused.
The Times Of India listed the five men as Anil, Raju, Sandeep Singh, Mausam Kumar and Aakash. All five were booked after the woman and her family filed criminal charges against them.
"Police are conducting raids to nab the accused. We are waiting for a forensic report before proceeding further," DSP Pushpa Khatari said in the TOI report.
